BIRD HUNTING IN AFRICA
South Africa offers a variety of game birds to the wing shooter. You can choose between water birds, land birds and dove/pigeon shooting. Each category has it’s own challenges that contributes to great excitement and success!
Water Birds
Geese and duck species are hunted over decoys, natural cover and pit blinds. Daily bag limits apply
Land Birds
Species up for hunting include guineafowl, different francolin and quail. Hunting takes place by means of drives, beats and over pointing dogs. Daily bag limits apply
Pigeons and Doves
These bird species are hunted over corn and sunflower fields and produce high volume shooting. The daily bag limits are unrestricted on the relevant species.
